At the end of the day what does it mean to find your “Divine Destiny”?
A lot of people get confused when we talk about “divine purpose”, or “divine destiny”. They think they are reasonably happy in their life or career so why do they need this “divine” piece?
Let’s get one thing straight off. Your divine purpose or divine destiny has nothing to do with your career, although it can. If you are fortunate to have the two aligned then Bravo! But such does not need to be the case.
So finding your divine destiny doesn’t mean you have to leave the career you are in and go find something else.
Another thing it doesn’t mean is that you need to be called to play on a big stage, again, although it can. There are many famous people we can ID who play on a big stage and are clearly aligned with their divine destiny, but here’s the thing.
As my "Feminine Power" teacher, Claire Zammit said one time,
“You can impact a lot of people and not go too deep; or, you can impact fewer people and go deeper”.
That, of course, is if your divine destiny has anything to do with impacting people at all and it certainly doesn’t have to as you can chose dozens of others things, such as research or working with animals just to name a couple. In fact, it need not have to do with work in any way, shape or form!
What we need to know absolutely is this: we have arrived here with a Sacred Contract and we can either live our life according to or in alliance with our destiny or throw ourselves to the winds of fate!
If we decide, and I will say this is hardly if ever a decision, to live by fate, we can still be good people. And by that I mean we have a conscience and to the best of our ability, our upbringing and whatever else influenced us, we can determine right from wrong, good from bad, positive from negative. And while there may be variations of opinion within those poles based on where we grew up, in what era, our cultural and societal influences, if we don’t deviate off the path of acceptance too far we do seem to manage.
And the word manage is important here. Because that is what we end up doing...managing our lives to the best of our ability.
And that is like anything else you manage. You control it, and support it, if you are good at managing, and attempt to make it reasonably healthy, it can sustain itself and in some cases maybe even grow. Plus if there are bumps or in some cases ruts or massive pot holes along the way then we try and do damage control and keep it all together as best we can, and if lucky, maybe like the Beatles song says, “have a little help from our friends”.
But if that is what fate looks like then what makes destiny different? And if fate is at least reasonably satisfactory why bother with anything else. After all, don’t we have enough to do already?? Plus, if things aren’t that bad why in heaven’s name would we ever say anything like... “Is that all there is”?
Well as we now know... many people don’t. So let’s take this a step further.
There are people out there who say they not only have a conscience but they are also being conscious. Big difference.
Usually these are the folks who have done developmental work on themselves in various ways and use words like “intent”. They are normally aware of a connection between the mind, body, and the emotional aspects of themselves to degrees and “consciously” try and do, not only what is good, but also what is best for themselves in a healthy and positive way. In this they attempt to stay one step ahead of any discomfort or discontentment.
However, and here is the difference, while committed to being conscious they are not “devoted” so there is no spiritual implications and therefore they need not be bothered with any form of God, Higher Power, Cosmic Knowing, Universal Laws or Spiritual Practice.
So bottom line...
If you want to do the ‘dance of destiny’ instead of just ‘hoofing it’ with fate, then this is where we have to go.
You cannot find your destiny by doing on on-line quiz or by solely making contact with your Spirit Animal, not to dismiss Spirit Animals, or Guides or anything of that nature.

This is deep soulful work that takes serious excavation, meditation, contemplation and prayer. It requires someone to help guide you through the geography and terrain of your life to determine what messages you were given and indeed which ones you are receiving now.
It requires time. It requires courage. It requires support. And it requires a desire and yearning to want to know the answers to why you are meant to be here in this precise era, at this precise period in our history.
Nothing, absolutely nothing, is an accident, especially not you.
