Oh What A Night(s)

The Solstice is, the 21st; the Full Moon is on the 22nd.; and over both nights we have Meteor Showers!!

The message is...the light cometh! And what does that mean if we examine it symbolically?

As we move into the depths of winter so begins the lengthening of daylight. For it is within this season we feel a call to slow down and take time to reflect on what we want to seed come spring.

It is interesting to note we often think of the New Year as a time of new beginnings but most of us know after a few days or weeks we often let go of those “resolutions” we were so determined to keep. I believe that is because it doesn’t align with us cyclically and because we are part of nature we are designed to operate within the cycles of nature.

The new year is simply time or calendar related and has nothing to do with the internal structure of our nature.

Regardless if we see our society in the fast lane, those of us who want to attune with our nature know it is time to do deep inner work and to connect to the energy of higher wisdom via meditation, contemplation or mindfulness practices. It’s the time to be still and listen to what wants to speak to us and to give our minds a rest or reprieve from life’s hectic demands.

This doesn’t mean we stop life, which for most of us is an impossibility in our society, but it does mean we consciously allow ourselves to find time for necessary reflection if we have any sense we are connected to nature at all. So when we do this what emerges is not from our programmed or domesticated thinking but from a higher or more conscious realm, which is symbolically connected to the light!

So this year is very special because of the close proximity of the Solstice and the Full Moon which will not happen again until 2029. The light expanding, (solstice), the light turned to the max, (full moon), added by the extra light of shooting stars is telling us we are at a time when we need to amplify the light. For those of us who are aware “we are the change” it is time to be quiet so we can hear what is being asked of us.

Each one of us, whether we know it or not, are not here to find a path of comfort so we can survive better than someone else, but we are here to set the world on a new course whether we call it entering the Age of Aquarius or as some wisdom cultures call it the rising of The Sixth Sun. This is a new time, a new era and we are being called to step up and step out to help create the transformation not only within ourselves but in whatever way our own personal creative gifts and talents speak to us.

So over the next couple of days even if you are caught up with socializing or last minute holiday preparations commit what you can to stillness wherever you can find it, even if it is when you are in bed. Be grateful you are here now because you are needed or you wouldn’t be here. Even if it is a few minutes a day ask yourself to find a reason to connect with silence so you can begin to hear what is wanting to emerge.

Under these precious skies with the magic of the cosmos speaking to us let it be known, even if it is quietly inside your heart, that you are willing to move toward the light, for yourself, for your loved ones, for humanity, for our Earth and all creation.

We are the Ones called to be here now. We are the Ones needed more than any other time in the history of our world.

This week-end, the Cosmos is asking us, in a very dramatic and powerful way, to move toward the light. To pick up our mantle of greatness and shine where we are called to send light.
